Everyone calls it Miradouro da Graça, but the official name is Miradouro Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen, a poet who spent many days admiring Lisbon and looking for inspiration from this spot.
Standing behind it is Igreja da Graça, an 18th-century church with, near the walls of the church, you will find always really nice artists. Before you arrive you will find a nice little garden “Jardim Augusto” with a fountain and once in the walk of the viewpoint there is a quiosque offering drinks.
The Miradouro is situated on the hill of Santo André with an amazing view that can reach the old neighborhoods like Mouraria, Alfama, Downtown and the Castle, also the river and 25th April Bridge.
If you don’t want to climb: catch the 28 tram, catch bus 712 (Marquês de Pombal) or 726 and leave at Sapadores.
